One of the advantages of staying at Canyonlands Basecamp is our location. We’re intentionally not in downtown Moab. That means no heavy traffic, no crowded streets, and no packed RV rows. Instead, we sit in a central position — within reach of some of the most iconic landscapes in the American Southwest. You can explore in every direction. Then return to space, quiet, and dark skies.

Canyonlands National Park – Needles District

District offers a quieter national park experience compared to busier entrances — and it’s one of
the reasons many guests choose to stay in this region.
Arches National Park

Home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, Arches National Park offers iconic formations, scenic drives, and
short hikes perfect for families and photographers. This is a must-see destination for anyone exploring the Utah national parks.
Canyonlands – Island in the Sky District

Goosenecks State Park offers one of the most dramatic canyon overlooks in the Southwest. Visitors can look nearly 1,000 feet down to see a series of tight river bends carved over millions of years, creating the park’s famous “gooseneck” formations.
